I find Charismatics to have lost the distinction between the 'otherness of God ' and his manifest presence. They expect too much( presumption not faith) right now( hyperactive eschatology).
On the other hand, I find Reformed folks to be practicing deists.
At any rate, I really appreciate your blogs Brother Sam.

Another point is worship. CR has made worship more engaging and in many Churches more flexible and spontaneous, ie. "free songs". On the other hand the content of those songs can emphasise personal emotional experience and lack the Christ-centredness of older songs.

When I listen to Bill Johnson and John Piper there seems to be a wide, although both view themselves as Christ-centred and Bible-believing disciples.

How do you account for the immense differences between those camps?

This was a great article. Thank you for writing such a balanced view of how we, who call ourselves charismatics, should seek the fullness of the Spirit in our lives.
